The Sake Bomber or Sake Bomb is a cocktail with beer made by pouring a shot of sake over a glass of beer. Most often, two chopsticks are placed on top of the glass and the shot of sake is balanced between them.  The drinker will then chant “sake…sake..SAKE!” and slams his fists on the table, causing the sake to fall into the glass of beer. This cocktail should be drunk immediately. The drinker may either count up to three in Japanese, “ichi…ni…san…SAKE BOMB!” or may simply shout “KANPAI!” This drink works best with a warm sake, or with a variation of “bombing” the warm sake with a chilled Red Bull energy drink.

Ingredients:

• 1 pint beer
• 1 shot sake

Glasses:

• Pint glass
• Shot glass

Preparation:

1. The shot of sake is dropped on the glass of beer making the mixture fizzle.
2. Consume immediately, or follow the “rituals” above.
