Kir cocktail is a one of French’s popular mixed drinks made with white wine and crème de cassis. This drink is usually used as a aperitif or a drink before a meal to stimulate the appetite. This cocktail was originally called blanc-cassis but was later renamed in honor to the mayor of Burgundy, Felix Kir. One of the many variations of this popular French cocktail is the Kir Royale where champagne is used.

- 9 parts of white wine
- 1 part of crème de cassis
